Mark is a native of Commerce, Georgia. He graduated from Commerce High School. He lives with his wife, Robin, and they have an adult daughter, Abigail. They attend Maysville Baptist Church.

Mark is a network technician for Windstream. He also owns the small business, "The Sitch that Fitz."

Mark Fitzpatrick is currently a city council member. He was first elected in 2003 and has been in office for five terms.
