Laurie Searle is currently a city council member. She was first elected in 2019 and has been in office for one term.

Laurie is retired. She served in the US Army from 1973 to 1982. She worked on main-frame central office equipment for three years. Then she transitioned into complex bids, marketing, and technical proposal writing.

Laurie is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She is married and lives in Rico Community, Chattahoochee Hills since 1997. She is a member of Providence Baptist Church. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Georgia State University and a master's degree in technical and professional communications from Kennesaw State University.
