After a honorable discharge from the navy, Andrew made his home in Athens, Georgia. He has a bachelors degree from the University of Notre Dame, and a masters degree in corporate finance and entrepreneurship. He lives with his wife in Jackson County, Georgia.

He is the owner of a small firearms business called Clyde Armory. He previously served as a in the US Navy for 28 years including three combat deployments in Kuwait and Iraq.
