Nikema Williams is from Columbus, Georgia and raised by her grandparents in Smiths Stations, Alabama. She has a bachelors of arts degree in biology from Talladega College. She lives with her husband and son in Atlanta, Georgia and are members of the Central United Methodist Church.

Nikema is a Representative for Georgia's 5th Congressional District at the U.S. House of Representatives for the last two years. She previously worked at the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the Georgia General Assembly as a Georgia State Senator, and at Planned Parenthood Southeast.

Nikema Williams is currently the Representative representing Georgia's 5th Congressional District. She was elected in 2020 and is serving her first term. She serves on the Financial Services Committee, the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress.  Nikema Williams served as a Georgia  State Senator between 2017 and 2021 before winning her election to the Georgia's 5th Congressional District.

Valencia is from southside Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Southside Comprehensive High School and Fulton High School. She has a bachelors in business administration from Fort Valley State University, and a masters of business administration from Georgia State University. She raised two children as a single mom.

Valencia is the Managing Member of the Georgia Youth Career Center, LLC. She has worked there for almost 2 years. She is also a Managing Partner of Val Promotions for 6 years. She previously worked at Stovall Enterprises and the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.

Valencia Stovall's campaign for Georgia's 5th Congressional District is her first campaign for a federal seat. Valencia served in the Georgia House of Representatives when she was elected in 2012. She served in the Georgia House of Representatives for 8 years and 1 month. She also ran for the US Senate in 2020, but she did not win.
