As a Fulton County Juvenile Court Judge, she hears cases regarding possible abuse or neglect of a minor and criminal and traffic violations regarding children under the age of 17. She serves parents with substance abuse disorders on the family dependency court which is designed to preserve the family through court intervention services.

Previously, Judge Miller was the Deputy Division Chief for Litigation and Claims in the City of Atlanta Department of Law. As the Deputy Division Chief for Litigation and Claims, Judge Miller managed lawsuits filed against the City of Atlanta, any of its employees, or elected officials. These lawsuits include claims like negligence, employment matters, and constitutional claims.

Shalanda Miller
