Patrick Thompson previously ran to be a representative in the U.S. House and a Georgia Senator. He was not elected.

Patrick is chief sales officer for TerraScale, a digital infrastructure company. He is also executive director for the Greening Georgia Caucus of the Democratic party. He founded two renewable energy companies and used to work for companies that include EDS, Lotus, IBM, Siebel, Radiance Solar, Salesforce, AT&T Mobile, ChargePoint, and CloudbBank. He used to be a public school science teacher and U.S. park ranger.

Patrick is originally from West Virginia. He has a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Mary Washington, a master's degree in business administration from Averett University, and a master's degree in sustainability from Green Mountain College.
