Ruwa has a bachelors of arts in politics from Oglethorpe University, and a masters in public policy from Georgetown University.

Ruwa is a Senior Consultant. She works at Deloitte and has worked there for over 2 years. She previously worked at Poligon Education Fund, CAIR-Georgia, Mercy Corps, Points of Light, the Asian American Advocacy Fund, the Georgia Muslim Voter Project, and the Center for Civil and Human Rights.

Ruwa Romman's campaign for State Representative of Georgia's 97th House District is his first entry into politics.
