Judicial Philosophy

Said, "Chatham County deserves a Recorder’s Court judge who is ethical, experienced, efficient, and effective."

Said, "I agree that the law should be followed in every case, without exception. Everyone deserves to be treated fairly regardless of their background, race, age, beliefs, and social status."

Said, "I have argued during bond hearings that someone struggling with drug addiction should not be released on bond for the time being... I know from experience that in some cases a little jail time can be necessary to save lives... I also do not believe prison is the only answer."

Judicial Administration

Said, "One of my major focuses since I’ve been in the \[District Attorney's Office] is efficiency."

When working with the District Attorney, he changed procedures to send reports via email prior to the first hearing in court. This reduced the number of days spent in court, and is now a fully online process used by the county.

Said, "I also have helped digitize the discovery process in Superior Court. This saves taxpayers thousands of dollars and has made the process faster."
