Taurus attended Clark Atlanta University and graduated from West Georgia Technical College with an associate's degree in marketing. Taurus also graduated with a master's degree in marketing and project management from Liberty University. She lives with her husband Eddie, and three children in Paulding County.

Taurus is currently the owner and director of operations of Douglasville Boxing Club. She is also a college instructor and youth minister.
