Judy attended Auburn University, graduating with a degree in business administration. Judy also received her law degree from Samford University. She lives with her husband, Avery, and their two children in East Cobb. They attend First Baptist Church Woodstock.

Judy is currently an education strategist and author. She previously worked as an attorney for Georgia Power.
