Chris attended the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and Lumpkin School of Law. He lives in Dunwoody with his wife and two daughters.

Prior to becoming involved in politics, Chris began his career with Georgia Pacific, then practiced law with Alston & Bird LLP, in Atlanta. He later served as Vice President and General Counsel for the Georgia Public Policy Foundation.

Chris is the current Attorney General of Georgia. Before becoming the Attorney General, Carr served as Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) under Governor Nathan Deal from 2013 to 2016. He served as Senator Johnny Isakson’s Chief of Staff for six years.
