Buddy is originally from Port Wentworth, Georgia. He has a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Georgia. He lives in Pooler with his wife, Amy. They have three sons and three grandchildren.

Buddy is a pharmacist. He owns Carter's Pharmacy, Inc. and has been a pharmacist for more than 30 years.
