Brandon was born and raised in Duluth. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from University of Georgia. He was vice chair of the Duluth Finance Committee and chair of the Duluth Redevelopment Agency. He lives with his wife, Mary, and son, Henry, downtown.
