City of Lilburn

Emil was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida. He has a bachelor's degree in marketing from University of Florida. He was on the City of Lilburn Planning Commission for seven years and on the city's Merit Board for one year. He has lived in Lilburn with his wife, Nancy, since 2000. They have two children and four grandchildren.

Emil is a retired marketing manager. He worked for Amoco Oil and BP.

Emil Powella is currently the Lilburn city council member representing Post 4. He was first elected in 2020 during a special election.
