David is a former associate judge at the Denton County Probate Court. He served at the Probate Court for ten years before being appointed as the presiding judge of Denton County Criminal Court at Law No. 1, where he served until August 2021. He previously worked as a pilot in the U.S. Army, as an attorney in private practice, and as an assistant district attorney in Denton, Jack, and Wise Counties.
