I am currently a professional firefighter-paramedic. I have made a career of community service and wish to continue the honor by serving Ellis County as Justice of the Peace Precinct 1.

I am ready to retire from the fire service and begin a career in serving the community that raised myself and my family.

My No. 1 goal is to bring Truancy Court back to Precinct 1 court. I believe that all students should have opportunities to grow both academically as well as with other activities. Success in life begins with SUCCESS in the classroom and SUCCESS in the classroom begins with attendance in school. By bringing Truancy Court back I wish to make these hearings more local and not create further burden on families or for those involved.

I do not intend to excessively fine nor incarcerate those involved, causing further hardships, but desire to be a higher authority of reckoning and a positive outside influence toward a resolution to the matter.

When NBC 5 Investigates visited Macon, he had a stack of cases he was preparing to dismiss because they involved some of the more than a dozen process servers whom he and his colleagues suspect may have lied in other cases.

Macon said when he orders those servers to appear in court and explain themselves, they do not respond.

“My other JP's here in the county have done the same -- and they don't show up,” Macon said.
