Judge Brandy Hallford grew up in the Austin area and later attended The University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree.

Judge Hallford is married to Jerry Hallford, a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Jerry has proudly served the citizens of Round Rock for 27 years as a Police Officer. Brandy and Jerry are the proud parents of four children, and attend Grace Covenant Church.

Judge Hallford started her career with the Williamson County Attorney's Office where she was later promoted to Criminal Division Chief working closely with law enforcement and supervising attorneys and staff.

She also gained invaluable experience when she worked under Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott as the First Open Government Prosecutor for Texas Attorney General's Office.

After her youngest child was born, Judge Hallford went into private law practice in Williamson County. While in private practice, she focused her legal practice on representing abused and neglected children as their attorney and voice in Child Protective Services' cases.

Brandy previously practiced law privately in Williamson County, representing abused and neglected children in Child Protective Services cases. She also worked as an open government prosecutor for the Texas Attorney General's Office and as Criminal Division Chief in the Williamson County Attorney's Office.

After winning the Republican Primary in March 2018, Judge Hallford was appointed as the Presiding Judge of County Court at Law #1 on June 4, 2018.
