About Me
I am honored to serve as the Rockwall County Clerk—a role I was appointed to by the Commissioner’s Court in December 2020 and officially elected to in November 2022. With over 16 years of experience in the Rockwall County Clerk’s Office, I bring a proven track record of exceeding expectations and driving efficient, citizen-focused services.

Jennifer currently serves as Rockwall County Clerk. She was appointed to the position by the Commissioners Court in December 2020 and elected in November 2022.

With over a decade of experience in the Rockwall County Clerk’s Office, I have consistently exceeded both the goals put before me and those I’ve taken on myself and have a firm commitment to the citizens of Rockwall County. As your County Clerk, I show my natural leadership style as I lead by example – never shying away from the job at hand.

It has been the greatest honor of my career to serve the people of Rockwall County as your County Clerk. I am seeking reelection to continue building on the progress we’ve made by enhancing services, protecting records, and ensuring my office remains one of the most efficient and citizen-focused in the state.

Copies and eCertified copies of official public records may be purchased online at this time. Requests for paper certified copies will be processed by our office and mailed to the customer. If you select “In Person,” you may add items to your shopping cart online, but payment must be completed with our office.

Jennifer is currently the Rockwall County Clerk. She was appointed to this position in January 2021 and subsequently elected in November 2022. 

Aims to improve efficiency in the clerk's office while emphasizing transparency and public engagement in government operations.

Plans to modernize the office's technology and improve record-keeping processes, emphasizing the importance of a well-run clerk's office for local government functionality and community trust.

- Serves as clerk of county’s commissioners court, attending and recording all sessions, as well as holding all records associated with the Court. Also assists county judge in court agenda preparation and posting notice for each meeting, along with other services requested by the Court.
- Works with judges, defendants, jurors, and attorneys of various courts, doing things like filing cases, issuing processes, maintaining minutes of court proceedings, collecting costs and fines, and arranging for commitments and appeals.
Administers all county and state elections as chief elections officer, except when the Commissioners Court has the tax assessor-collector or county elections administrator do that.
- Can serve as county recorder, where they determine whether a document is suitable for filing.They maintain documents like birth, death, and marriage certificates and real estate records, and act as a liaison to the Vital Statistics Section of the Texas Department of State Health Services.
- County clerks are elected through partisan, county-wide elections to four-year terms. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, have been a Texas resident for at least 12 consecutive months, a county resident for at least six consecutive months, and registered to vote in that county.
- The annual salary for county clerks range from $42,000 to $183,999, set by the county’s commissioners court.
