Clayton Tucker is from Lampasas, Texas. He has a bachelor's degree in international politics and trade from Southwestern University. He also studied at National Chengchi University in Taipei. 

Clayton is a rancher and small business owner. He works on his family's farm, RX Ranch, near Lampasas, Texas. He raises cattle, goats, donkeys, and more. Clayton also owns two small businesses. He previously worked as a water and agriculture researcher for the National Science Foundation and as a kindergarten teacher. He also authored a science fiction book called Mandated Happiness. 

Clayton previously ran for Texas State Senate District 24 in 2020 but did not win.
