Hello, my name is Kevin Bean and I am honored to be the Sheriff of Caldwell County. I was born and raised in Hudson,NC to the Reverend Harold and Juanita Bean. I grew up hunting and fishing which I still enjoy today and have developed a strong commitment to the right to keep and bear arms.

In 2003, in the midst of the furniture industry decline, I worked during the day and put myself through Basic Law Enforcement Training at night. I began working as a reserve deputy under Sheriff Gary Clark’s administration. I have now worked for the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office for over 2 decades holding every ranking position in the patrol division. I was then appointed Chief Deputy by Sheriff Alan Jones in 2019 which is the highest ranking appointed officer at the Sheriff’s Office in charge of overseeing daily operations for the entire office, and I now hold the office of Sheriff.
