He previously worked as the director of information technology on the command staff for the Kentucky Department for Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also co-founded and sits on the board of Open Gate Community Outreach, a nonprofit organization that offers education, counseling, and connections to resources for the community. He also founded the "Boys to Men Mentoring Group," which guides and counsels boys aged 12 and up.
