Dr. Ken Allen Banter has a bachelor s degree in elementary education from Asbury University, a master s in middle grades education from Fort Valley State University, an educational specialist degree in supervision, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Georgia. He has served as a lay leader and Sunday school teacher at Fort Valley Methodist Church since 1984.

He also held multiple leadership roles in the Peach County Board of Education, including director of title I programs and principal.
