Gregory (Dee) is a program supervisor at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. He previously taught in CMS, private, and charter schools. He also runs a youth development program called Future LEADERS.

Gregory (Dee) Rankin is currently a member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, representing District 3. He was elected in 2022 and is serving his first term.
