Jason earned an associate degree from Wake Technical Community College and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He is married with children and has served as a board member for organizations including the United Way, North Carolina Community Foundation, and the Boys & Girls Club of Vance County.

Jason currently works in emergency communications at Duke University Police Department.
