Rafael Anchía is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of an international real estate private equity firm and an attorney at the largest law firm in Dallas, specializing in finance. He previously served on the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Independent School District and was appointed to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations by President Barack Obama.

Rafael Anchia has served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2004. He is the Chair of the House Committee on International Relations and Economic Development and a member of the House Energy Resources Committee, the House Administration Committee, and the Texas Privacy Protection Advisory Council Committee. He was appointed to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations by President Barack Obama and has served as Chairman of the Mexican American Legislative Caucus.
