Staci Childs

Staci is from Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hampton University, a master's degree in educational policy from Georgia State University, and a law degree from Texas Southern University. 

Staci currently works as the managing partner at Sunnyside Legal Clinic, PLLC, specializing in criminal defense, and as the owner and chief executive of the non-profit GirlTalk University. She previously worked as an assistant attorney general in Houston and as an educational policy advisor to the White House under the Obama administration. She also worked as a 4th and 5th grade teacher. 

Staci Childs currently serves as a board member on the Texas State Board of Education District 4. She was first elected in 2022 and is serving her 1st term.
