Scioto Valley Guardian, New Sheriff takes reins in Vinton County

Ryan holds an associate's degree in computer software engineering from Herzing University at Toledo.  

Ryan currently works as a sergeant, nightshift supervisor, and detective for the Vinton County Sheriff's Office. 

Ryan C. Cain currently serves as the Vinton County Sheriff. He was elected to this position in 2020 and is serving his 1st term. 

Relocated the Sheriff's office from a "100+ year old building..." to a " several thousand-foot structure just outside McArthur."

Wants to make efforts to entice youth to pursue their careers locally and in the law enforcement and fire rescue services industries.
