Joe Short currently serves as a Fulton County Commissioner. He was appointed to this position in 2007 and served the remainder of that term. He was re-elected in 2020 and is serving his 1st full term. He also serves as vice president of the board of commissioners. He previously served as a German Township Trustee. He was elected to that position in 2003 and served for 1 consecutive term. He was re-elected in 2017 and served 2 total terms in that position.

Joe owns and manages an insurance agency. He previously served as president of the Archbold Area Chamber of Commerce and the Archbold Lions Club.

Joe is from Archbold and attended Archbold High School. He holds a marketing communications degree from The Ohio State University. He is a member and former deacon of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold.
