Rick holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Goshen College and a medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. 

Rick works as a family physician at Parkview Physicians Group. He also works as a medical director at Sauder Woodworking.  

Archbold Buckeye, Yoder To Be Named Fulton Co. Coroner 

Rick Yoder currently serves as the Fulton County Coroner. He was appointed to this position in 2012 and is serving his 2nd full term.

- The County Coroner runs the Coroner’s Office, which is responsible for conducting an unbiased investigation on the cause, manner, and circumstance of death.  
- The Coroner is responsible for pronouncing someone dead, for photographing and documenting the place of death, and for releasing remains to be cremated, transported to another state, or autopsied. 
- They are also responsible for collecting evidence at the location of death. This includes physical evidence and interviews from witnesses. 
- Coroners are responsible for removing the body from the place of death, and informing their family of their death in a timely manner. 
- Coroners are elected to four year terms in nonpartisan elections.
