 Prior to a career in politics, Dan worked as an attorney at Erwin, Bishop, Capitano, & Moss for 23 years. He also worked at Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A. as an associate for five years.

Dan Bishop is the US Representative for North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District. He was first elected in a special election in 2019 and has served two complete terms and one partial term. He served as a State Senator from 2016 to 2019, as a State Representative from 2015 to 2017, and as a Mecklenburg County Commissioner from 2005 to 2008.
