John Richard Bell IV is a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly, representing the 10th district and serving as the House Majority Leader. He began his professional career with the Boy Scouts of America in Goldsboro with the Tuscarora Council, covering Duplin and Sampson counties. Bell also has experience in banking, having managed a bank in Goldsboro and worked with the NC Community Credit Union. Additionally, he is a board member for RISE Capital, a private equity company with companies based throughout North Carolina.

John Bell has been serving in the North Carolina House of Representatives since 2013, currently in his sixth term representing House District 10. He was elected as the House Majority Whip in 2015 and has been the House Majority Leader since 2016, a position he has been re-elected to for consecutive sessions through 2023-2024. Bell has also been involved in managing campaigns, including for Senator Louis Pate in 2010.
