He is married to his wife, Karen, and has 2 children. He is an ordained minister and a pastor at Freedom Baptist Church in Ayden. 

Worth works as a teacher at Pitt County Schools and owns a beekeeping business. He previously worked as the Associate Superintendent for Education Programs and Services at Pitt County Schools.
