Ryan Hope takes office as new Athens-Clarke State Court Judge

Ryan earned a bachelor's from the University of Georgia and a law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. Ryan lives in Athens, Georgia with his wife and two children. 

Ryan has a background in civil law in Superior Court and local accountability courts. In addition to being a State Court Judge, he serves as a Superior Court Judge by designation and previously served as Judge of the Municipal Court of Athens-Clarke County. Before becoming a judge, he served six years as a public defender and 10 years as a prosecutor.
