Charles Brooks is the Solicitor General in Clayton County. He was appointed to this position in 2019, and is serving his second term.

Charles worked as a Conflicts Analyst with Greenberg Taurig, LLP, an Assistant District Attorney with the Clayton Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, and as a legal extern with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of General Counsel.

Charles holds a Bachelor's Degree from Alabama State University and a Law Degree from the University of Georgia. He resides in Morrow, Georgia with his wife and children. He volunteers as a high school mock trial coach, and is a member of 100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta, the Clayton County Bar Association’s Executive Board, and the State Bar of Georgia’s Statewide Judicial Evaluation Committee.
