Alphonso "Al" Smith is the Coweta County Commissioner for District 5 in Georgia.  He is serving his fourth term. 

As Commissioner, he organized an event, Neighborhood Netz Outreach, to help replace basketball nets in local parks, saying "impoverished neighborhoods often do not often receive maintenance, and many of the basketball goals were missing nets."
