Tess has a bachelor's degree in psychology and an Master's of Business Administration (MBA). She is married to her husband, Dennis. She volunteers in the county with Friends of LINC, Chattahoochee Bend State Park, Backstreet Community Arts, and Sacred Journey Hospice. 

Tess is currently the Director of Contracts with the University System of Georgia. She previously worked in construction contracting and facilities management. 

This is Tess Higgin's first entry into politics.
