Omeeka has lived in Augusta, Georgia for over 10 years, with her husband and son. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2000 and obtained her master’s degree from Troy University in 2002. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is a member of the New Life Church in Augusta and serves on several boards, including Dream Builders of America’s Youth, Inc., Golden Harvest Food Bank, and Kiwanis Club of Augusta.

Omeeka worked for the Fulcher Hagler Law Firm, as an Assistant Public Defender for the Augusta Judicial Circuit, and with the Law Offices of Tanya D. Jeffords. She opened her own private practice, the Law Office of Omeeka P. Loggins, in 2015.

- The Solicitor General oversees the prosecution of any misdemeanors or minor infractions to Georgia statutes or local laws. Misdemeanors might include driving under the influence, disorderly conduct, or low-level theft. 
- Solicitor Generals have discretion over whether to press charges, whether to seek jail time, or whether to send individuals to a pre-trial diversion program. They also have the power to negotiate plea deals with defendants. 
- In addition to prosecuting cases, the Solicitor General provides advice and counseling to victims of crime.
- Solicitor Generals are elected in county elections to four year terms.
