Emanuel County Live, Tripp Fitzner: The Middle Judicial Circuit’s new district attorney

Tripp Fitzner has a degree in accounting from Georgia Southern and a law degree from the University of Dayton. He is married to Jennifer Fitzner. They have four sons and a grandchild.

Tripp Fitzner served as the Middle Judicial Circuit’s first juvenile court prosecutor from 2001-2005. He was the district court administrator for the Eighth Judicial Circuit from 2005-2008. He then worked as a Chief Assistant. Since 2020, he has served as the Middle Judicial Circuit's District Attorney.  

Tripp Fitzner was elected District Attorney (DA) for the Middle Judicial Circuit in 2020. He previously served four terms on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia, representing the Middle Circuit.

- A District Attorney is the person who represents the government in the prosecution of all felony criminal cases and the misdemeanors connected to felonies.
