Denied allegations that the school system was accused of teaching or planning to teach "Critical Race Theory" in the school curriculum while acting as board of education chair.

Encouraged parents to ask their kids in response to being accused of including Critical Race Theory in the school curriculum, stating "ask your students...children... grandchildren what did you learn today? What did you talk about? Get involved...Ask to see the Georgia State Standards... ask to see the lesson plans. You can do that. Get involved in your schools, ask those questions and I think you will be pleasantly surprised."
