Stauton News Leader, Meet the Democratic senatorial candidate for the new 3rd District, Jade Harris

Jade is from Rockbridge County. She attended Rockbridge County High School. She has a bachelor's degree in political science from Mary Baldwin University. She attends Glasgow’s Union Baptist Church.

Jade manages a business. She is also a novelist. Her first book was published in March 2023. She used to be a substitute teacher, a library worker, and a customer service worker.

Jade Harris previously ran for state delegate to representing district 24 in a special election in 2023 but did not win. She used to be a member of the Glasgow town council and Glasgow's vice mayor.
