Les is from Montgomery County. He has a bachelor's degree from Liberty University and a law degree from the University of Richmond He lives with his wife, Melanie, and his two children in Chatham.

Les is a lawyer. He is senior assistant to the Pittsylvania County Commonwealth Attorney. He used to work at law firm Adam and Fisk, PLC.

Les Adams is currently the state delegate representing district 16. He was first elected in 2013 and has been in office for five terms. He is vice chair of the courts of justice committee, the privileges and elections committee, and the commerce and energy committee.
