Delores Riley Oates' campaign for state representative is her first entry into politics.

Delores Riley Oates is the current Vice President of Sales and Delivery, which she has been since 2021. She was previously the Senior Technical Recruiter at Akima, LLC from 2018 to 2019, and at Hire Velocity from 2008 to 2018. She was the Managing Director at Modis, Inc. from 1998 to 2000.

Delores Riley Oates is originally from Front Royal. She attended Warren County High School. She then went to Lord Fairfax Community College, where she received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Liberal Arts. She then went to Regent University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Government. Delores currently lives in Warren County with her husband, who she has three children with.
