He has a bachelor's degree in political science from Virginia State University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. If elected, he would be the first gay Black man elected to the Virginia legislature.

Rozia is a federal contractor and program manager for the Department of Homeland Security. He is also the founder of HCG Dynamic Solutions, LLC.
