Karen is from Carver Ranches, Florida. She has a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor from the St. Thomas University College of Law. She attends New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal.

Karen Scott Greene

Judge Hamil has a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia. His wife and their three children attend W.R. Cannon Methodist Church.

Judge Hamil has been a judge for the last 20 years. He previously worked at the law firm Lipscomb, Johnson, Miles, & Ashway before co-founding the law firm Hamil & Dickson.

Judge Hamil is currently a Gwinnett County Superior Court Judge. He was appointed to the Gwinnett County Superior Court in 2002 and was elected later in 2002. He has served five terms.

Tim Hamil

- Georgia Superior Court Judges hear a wide range of criminal cases from petty theft and public drunkenness to murder. Some cases in front of the Georgia Superior Court involve the death penalty. 
- On the civil side, Superior Court Judges hear cases on divorce, titles to land, contract disputes, and premises liability.
