- The Attorney General serves as the lawyer for the Georgia government in any legal cases. The Attorney General is also the chief legal advisor to the governor.
- The Attorney General represents the state in court for all civil cases. They also represent the state in felony cases that reach the Georgia Supreme Court or cases that reach the United States Supreme Court.
- The Attorney General helps maintain a fair and just state by filing lawsuits against individuals or companies that violate regulations and laws.
- The Attorney General is elected to 4-year terms and cannot practice private law while in office. The Attorney General is paid a yearly salary of $139,169.
