Washington US Representative, District 3

• Taxes — All bills having to do with the budget must originate in the US House of Representatives. This means the House has a huge effect on federal government spending and how tax dollars are spent.

• Quality of Roads — The House passes bills that set levels of government spending on public infrastructure, such as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) of 2021 which includes money for roads and bridges in Washington.
