He served as Chief of Loss Prevention, overseeing investigations into fraud, internal theft, contract abuse, and workers' compensation scams. He also held broader leadership roles, including overseeing safety and environmental standards for tens of thousands of employees worldwide. 

Michael previously served on the Ennis City Council.

Said, "Yes, we should stop supporting large corporations with long-term tax abatements and subsidies. I do understand the value of offering start-up abatements for 1-2 years to get the companies to commit to building in Texas and creating jobs here... Having these companies in Texas does help with our employment rates, and generally, they have good starting wages. But ultimately, they need to be self-sufficient and not dependent on tax welfare to run their business."
