He previously worked at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years, retiring as Captain of Criminal Investigations; the Reidsville Police Department for four years, where he patrolled streets and served on its first narcotics interdiction team; and the U.S. Air Force Security Police for four years, where he guarded military installations and trained in security procedures.

Franklin Moore is a lifelong resident of Stoneville and graduated from Stoneville High School in 1983. Franklin is heavily involved in his community, frequently attending local festivals, mentoring, and supporting local sports teams.

Franklin is retired. He previously worked at the Town of Stoneville Police Department for 16 years as Chief of Police. He also worked as a deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office and as a police officer in the towns of Stoneville, Mayodan, and Madison. He served part-time as a 911 telecommunicator.
