District 2 County Commissioner, Post 2

• Housing & Urban Development — Commissioners oversee the construction and upkeep of county roads and bridges. They decide on building permits and zoning policies, can create districts for managing water, waste, or transportation, and have the authority to tax property and unmined minerals.

• Public Safety — Commissioners pass the budget for your county, which determines how much funding goes toward county law enforcement, emergency management, and other public services.
