Other innovations I have brought to the clerk’s office over the past decade include: phone-in renewal, debit/credit services, passport services, a customer check-in system, all of which save time, increase productivity and provide customers with more convenience.

I managed a staff that kept services available during the entire COVID-19 pandemic, providing drop-off and by-appointment services when the doors were closed for only three months. We were highly successful in conducting an unprecedented Presidential Election in 2020.

As county clerk, introduced a management structure with department supervisors to maintain customer service, accountability, and integrity.

Election Oversight

- The county clerk manages voter registration and removals, oversees the county board of elections, and resolves election day questions on voter registration, ID proofs, and absentee ballot signatures.
- The county clerk maintains ballots, voting equipment, and drop-boxes for absentee ballots. 
- The county clerk administers licenses, prepares tax bills, and archives legal and county records.
- This position has a maximum salary based on county size. The current maximum annual salary ranges from approximately $85,000 to $154,400.
